CROWNED EAGLE was just denied winning the £100,000 Old Newton Cup when pipped on the line yesterday in a photo finish. CROWNED EAGLE ran a superb race under Daniel Muscutt in what was a very competitive contest, he’s a horse that’s improving with every run.
On the back of this performance CROWNED EAGLE will be targeted to run at York in the 1 million pound Sky Bet Ebor.
STARBOY took his tally to 3 wins from 3 runs at Brighton yesterday when running out a comfortable winner of the class 4 handicap under a very confident Gabriele Malune. STARBOY is in superb form at present and improving at a rate of knots, he’s proving to be a real Brighton specialist.
AUSTIN POWERS gets off the mark at Yarmouth under a beautifully timed ride by Ryan Moore. Congratulations to everyone involved!
STARBOY wins the 7f, class 5 handicap in convincing fashion. The win takes his tally to 2 from 2 over course & distance, leading apprentice Jason Watson aboard. Congratulations to connections!
ANOTHER BATT wins the valuable, Abbey Logistics, 7f, class 2 handicap at the Boodles May Festival live on ITV. ANOTHER BATT was given a superb ride by the champion jockey Silvestre De Sousa to get up right on the line.
CROWNED EAGLE continued our great start to the season yesterday when running out an impressive winner of the £50,000, Rosebery Stakes at Kempton Park under Daniel Muscutt.
After two runs towards the end of 2017 we targeted the valuable Roseberry Stakes back in December, so we’re absolutely delighted the plan worked out. Daniel Muscutt is riding at the top of his game at present and rode a confident race to make all, CROWNED EAGLE fought off all challengers and kept finding more. Credit has to be given to trainer Marco Botti who produced CROWNED EAGLE to perfection after several months off the track.
We only have to flash back 10 months and CROWNED EAGLE was lining up in the Epsom Derby, hopefully Saturday’s big win will kick start his career again, he looks a very exciting staying prospect going forward.
We couldn’t of dreamed for a better start to the season, we’ve now had three, class 2 winners in the last two weeks which in total are worth £125,000, we didn’t want March to end!! Lets hope we can keep the momentum going.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
HIGH ACCLAIM got our 2018 turf season off to a flyer yesterday when landing the 32Red, Spring Mile at Doncaster on the opening day of the season live on ITV!
HIGH ACCLAIM was given a brilliant ride by David Probert, when he came with his run he put three lengths between the field and kicked for home, HIGH ACCLAIM battled late on to defy the charge from HUMBERT. In what was a fiercely competitive 21 runner handicap he ran a career best to land the valuable £45,000 contest.
Huge credit has to be given to our trainer Roger Teal who had HIGH ACCLAIM primed for the big day! Congratulations to all involved.
KYLLACHY GALA was an impressive winner of the class 2, 32RED, £25,000 handicap at Kempton Park last night. After being beaten twice recently in photo finishes he really deserved to get his head in front again. This brings his career wins to 5 in total, a special mention has to be given to stable apprentice Gabriele Malune who gave him a fantastic ride.
Congratulations to connections!
Owners enjoyed a fantastic day in Newmarket on Saturday visiting Marco Botti & George Scott’s stables. It was great to see so many owners in attendance to view the current 8 horses we have in training in Newmarket.
