I’m pleased to announce that we’ve purchased our second yearling. A good looking, racy Camacho colt who will be trained by George Scott at Saffron House Stables, Newmarket.
The colt was purchased at Goff’s UK Premier sale. Camacho himself is one of Juddmonte Farms finest families, is a full brother to showcasing and is a proven source of stakes winning performers. The dam New Magic was a very talented and resilient race mare who ran thirty two times and won four of her starts, whilst placing in ten and earning herself black-type at Listed level. New Magic raced on until she was 6 and had a lifetime highest rating of 93, this is her first foal by Camacho. He looks a serious 2-year-old to go to war with next season.
Shares are now available in this exciting syndicate, please see our available horses page for more information.
High Acclaim’s owners made the long journey to Pontefract yesterday and boy was it worthwhile!
Our colt broke alertly from stall 9 and jockey Danny Tudhope done a fantastic job to get a good position in the race. High Acclaim travelled beautifully throughout and turning in was still on the bridle as many of his opposition were hard at work in behind.
High Acclaim and the eventual runner up ‘Novoman’ pulled 4 lengths clear of the chasing pack to battle out the finish, our tough colt kept finding more and held on for his second win of the season!
Congratulations to connections.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve purchased a stunning ‘Sir Prancealot’ yearling colt at the Tattersalls Ireland sale on Tuesday.
This cracking colt immediately caught the eye with his great presence and athleticism. He is very well made and really looks a 2-year-old but has the scope to go on at 3.
Sir Prancealot has had an outstanding season with his first crop of 2-year-olds and is due to be crowned champion first season sire. To date he’s had 38 winners of which several have been stakes performers already. To boost, this colt is out of a proven dam in ‘Daneville’ who is a dam of 5 winners from 6 runners.
This exciting colt will be trained by Ed Walker at Kingsdown Stables in Lambourn. Shares are now available so please get in touch with our office if you’d like more information.
We were very pleased to see Florencio run back to form at Windsor yesterday afternoon. He ran a blinder to come 2nd in what was a hot contest, it looked as though he just bumped into a very well handicapped horse in Fairway To Heaven.
After several below par performances we decided Florencio would be gelded so it’s great to see him bounce back to form, it hopefully wont be long before he’s back in the winners enclosure again based on yesterdays run.
Our Mastercraftsman colt named Master Billie will make his debut at Leicester on Thursday in the 7 furlong, 2-year-old maiden.
Good luck to connections!
High Acclaim’s owners enjoyed a fantastic day at Newmarket on Saturday at the Darley July Cup. They were wined & dined before racing and experienced the days racing from a hospitality box.
Unfortunately High Acclaim couldn’t top off what was a brilliant day by winning, but he ran a good race in defeat. We will now target a race at Glorious Goodwood for him at the end of July.
After narrowly being beaten a short head on debut at Windsor, we’re delighted that High Acclaim has got off the mark on his second start in what was a good quality Lingfield maiden.
Jockey Fergus Sweeney was aboard and gave our colt a fantastic ride, High Acclaim settled well in the race and travelled like the winner throughout. Fergus took up the running in the final furlong and kicked for home, there was never any doubt as he went on to win by a convincing 3 lengths, beating some very well fancied horses.
Congratulations to connections, High Acclaim looks to have a very bright future ahead.
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that our tough mare Miss Sophierose is in foal to the exciting French stallion Blue Bresil.
Unfortunately Miss Sophierose had to be retired in January after not recovering fully from an injury, she gave her owners some amazing days on the racecourse and will always have a special place in their heart.
Miss Sophierose was as tough as they came, her trainer Warren Greatrex held her in high regards and believed she was destined for black type / listed form. It’s unfortunate that her racing career had to come to an end, she will always be remembered for her memorable treble! Point-to-point, Bumper & Hurdles win which she landed in concession.
She remains in Excel Racing ownership and her owners now have an exciting foal due early in 2017. Blue Bresil is already sire of Cheltenham winner Ibis Du Rheu, Gr.2 winner & Gr.1 second Le Prezien. He’s a very exciting young sire proven to get precocious young jumpers.
After breaking the track record at Chelmsford on his final start as a 2-year-old, Florencio’s owners have been excited over the winter months awaiting his 3-year-old debut and he certainly didn’t disappoint!
In what was a good quality Wolverhampton – 0-95 handicap, Florencio ran out a convincing winner to give his owners the dream start to his 3-year-old campaign, he beat some in form horses such as Agueroo & Kingsley Klarion and went on to win a shade cosily.
Florencio will now be targeted to run in the class 2 handicap at the Newmarket Craven meeting in several weeks time.
